Democracy and Civic Participation Report

6th July 2020 - Democracy and Civic Participation Commission

On Monday 6th July 2020, the Democracy and Civic Participation Commission released the report of their findings. The Commission started its work in Newham in November 2019, and this report comes after months of work, including public evidence hearings where Newham residents had their say.

Within the report are proposals for Newham to become a beacon of participatory democracy. You can read the report here (Democracy Commission Report).

You can also read the Public Engagement Findings here, and the Public Engagement Evaluation here.

The report was launched via a virtual event, which you can watch here.
