Evidence hearing – Governance models and the role of councillors in strengthening local democracy

Residents of the London Borough of Newham are invited to the third and final public hearing as part of the Democracy and Civic Participation Commission in Newham. Residents will have an opportunity to listen as the Commissioners hear evidence from a number of experts on the topic of ‘Governance models and the role of councillors in strengthening local democracy’.

Structure of the day

Panel 1 – introduction to matters relating to council governance and governance change
